Howdy fellow RE fans, excited for Resident Evil 6? So am I! Just a quick update for Vita owners, Killzone: Mercenary was officially announced in Gamescon 2012. I’m excited! Killzone franchise is one of my favorite in Playstation 3. I’m waiting for Killzone 4 but I think this news will do for now. The Helghast army are the coolest and most bad ass looking suit I’ve ever seen.

I really hope this won’t end up like Resistance: Burning Skies for Vita. This was one of Playstation’s flagship games. I even bought it day one and on day one I already platinum it and now it is collecting dust. Singleplayer was a disappointment but multiplayer has plenty of fun but I think it wasn’t worth it.

I got faith on Guerrilla Games, I hope they won’t butchered this one and make the gameplay satisfying. Prequel, sequel or spinoff I don’t care. Just make it awesome like Uncharted: Golden Abyss. PS Vita players are hungry for a shooter games due to its dual analog. I’m looking forward to Killzone: Mercenary. I might skip Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified since it will be from Nihilistic again but never say never. Reviews might turn out good.

After last year’s Modern Warfare 3 versus Battlefield 3 multiplayer debate, I ended up with BF3 for PC and boy it was a decision I never regretted. Gameplay and DX11 graphics really caught my attention plus the 64 players in one massive shootout. I knew Modern Warfare was more successful in sales compared to its competition but you cannot overlooked Battlefield 3 as it sold very well too. To be honest I never played any Call of Duty multiplayer and my info about the multiplayer is almost non-existent. I’m not even aware how many players can play online. I only beat the singleplayer of each franchise and move on. On Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3 it was the opposite as I only played the multiplayer and skipped both campaigns. Either you are a COD or BF3 player, both are still played 24/7 by a lot of gamers around the world including me. I even bought Premium for BF3, still worth it in my opinion.

This year, FPS players have to make another decision which to side(or just skip two) when Call of Duty Black Ops 2 and Medal of Honor Warfighter arrives. Both trailers and gameplay are really promising.

First on our plate is Call of Duty: Black Ops II. I’m not so sure about the jumping to the future approach of Black Ops but I think it is a bold move to stir up a little in the Call of Duty franchise. They are not afraid to make some changes and you have to give Treyarch a credit for that. I’m glad it didn’t have to go with laser guns like Halo have. I hate pew pew guns! Maybe that is why I’m not a fan of it. Speaking of Halo, the 4th sequel is also coming out this year but I think it doesn’t fit the Black Ops 2 versus MOH Warfighter because it is only exclusive to Xbox. It belongs to console wars category. Check the multiplayer trailer for Black Ops 2 and see the highlights of gameplay and new futuristic weaponry of your disposal.

Now let us take a look what Medal of Honor Warfighter has to offer. For gameplay, nothing much is new unlike what Black Ops 2 did. In my opinion it really looks like a Battlefield 3.5 in preparation for Battlefield 4 next year. Not to mention luring the Battlefield fans to buy Warfighter just to get in the beta. I know they said it is not the only way to get into the Battlefield 4 beta. Maybe beta code invites in other games or contest but come on who are we kidding. It is a nice marketing strategy. Anyway, that Frostbite 2 engine is really jaw dropping. We saw what Frostbite can do in Battlefield 3 so for graphics whore and PC gamers with high-end specifications I know they(including me) will consider this.

This year I’m looking forward to get the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 for PC simply because I want to try what Call of Duty multiplayer is all about but I won’t say this is my final decision though. I’m really curious why Call of Duty is called the king of FPS games when Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3 are games I considered to be the best multiplayer already. Warfighter comes first before Black Ops so players have time to check reviews and feedbacks. My friends decision which game to get might affect as well. Playing with your friends and killing them with a knife satisfies me!
